Woman battles for life as brothers spray acid on her
Greater Noida: A 22-years-old girl received critical burn injuries on her face after two of her brothers hurled acid on her in Luharli village of Dadri on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the victim a native of Gulaothi area in Bulandshahr was travelling to Noida in a car along with her two brothers.
Avaneesh Kumar Singh, Circle Officer, Dadri said that the girl sustained critical burn injuries on her face and has been referred to Safdarjung hospital in New
Delhi.
"The incident occurred around 1:30 pm when the victim was travelling in a car along with her two brothers. The duo of accused stopped the car near Kot village and pulled the victim out. They hurled a bottle of acid on her and fled away in the car leaving her lying on road," said Singh.
The officer further said that a passerby informed police and a team rushed rushed to the spot.
"A few passerby spotted the woman and immediately informed police. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital from where doctors referred her to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi for higher
treatment."
"The victim sustained critical injuries on her face and body while she has accused her brothers for trying to strangle her and then attacking her with the acid."
"An FIR is being registered into the matter Based on allegations from the victim. We are making efforts to trace both the accused and arrest them," added Avaneesh Kumar Singh.
A senior Police officer of Dadri police station said that a scuffle might have broke out between them which have led to the incident.
As per a doctor of government hospital in Dadri, the girl has received critical burn injuries while chances are such that she might also lose her sight.
