DUTA holds 'Jansampark' outside five Metro stations

New Delhi: Teachers and students of Delhi University on Wednesday participated in large numbers for the 'Jansampark' program, organised by DU Teachers' Association-(DUTA), outside the Vishwavidyalaya, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, ITO and Central Secretariat Metro stations.
"The program was organised to spread awareness among the public about the problems that teachers of DU are grappling with. With no solution for their misery, teachers had to go on evaluation boycott," said DUTA in a statment.
"Around 4,000 teaching posts lay vacant in DU because the administration and colleges have failed to make permanent placements, despite a high court order to fill all teaching posts within a stipulated time frame. The fate of more than 4,000 ad-hoc teachers teaching against these vacant positions now lie in jeopardy," said DUTA president Rajib Ray.
