With an aim to minimise parking woes, North Delhi Municipal Corporation on Monday launched an Android app for online complaint management system and website for lodging complaints against violations in parkings sites for the general public.
The Corporation said that citizens can download the app from the North MCD web portal. It will soon be available on Google Play Store and complainants can also registered on the website http://www.northmcd.com/parking.
North MCD Mayor Preety Aggarwal said that if a citizen found any such violation, they can simply select the violation and a parking slot listed in the app, and click a photo/video as proof.
As soon as the complaint is submitted, a unique complaint number is generated and the same is intimated to the complainant through e-mail as acknowledgment.
The complainant can also track the status of their complaint and the action taken by RP Cell against the particular violation through the unique complaint no.
Aggarwal said that it is hoped that the app would be instrumental in regulating parking lots in a better manner.
She also said that citizens would be able to get better and transparent services by knowing the terms of violations like overcharging, not displaying details on the board, depicting details including rates, name of the contractor, area details of the contractor, phone number in case of complaint, usage of hand held device etc.
