Include PE teachers in teaching roster, demands DUTA

With the Vice-Chancellor yet to act on his assurance to induct ad hoc physical education (PE) teachers into the teaching staff roster, the Delhi University Teacher's Association (DUTA) took out a protest at North campus on Friday.

Members of DUTA raised slogans against the V-C, who had on May 9 assured the Association that PE teachers would be included in the roster and that vacancies in the PE teachers' post would be filled. The protesting PE teachers said that the implementation of the fourth amendment in the University Grants Commission has been used by the University to discriminate against the teachers.
