Showtime Group all set for India Pavilion at The UN Climate Change Conference'17

The 'Conference of Parties' (COP) is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that meets every year to review the progress and chart out the course for the future. The coordinating Ministry of the Government of India is the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change. Member countries set up Pavilions at this Conference to inform delegates and special invitees on the progress being made by each of them in their efforts to combat climate change. MoEFCC floats an RFP each year for design of the India Pavilion and handling of all the events held at the Pavilion during the Conference. Its eventually a mutli-agency pitch that is then evaluated on the basis of quality of design and financials for the same. The India Pavilion at the 21st Session of the conference of parties (COP21) held in Paris in November 2015 was designed by Showtime.

Showtime also won the bid for the design of the India Pavilion and handling of all the events at the Pavilion at the 22nd Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) held in Marrakech in 2016, making it two in a row.

It has won the bid for the third year running to design the India Pavilion at COP23 that will focus on work being done around Solar Expansion and The International Solar Alliance, and other initiatives aimed at Mitigation and Adaptation effects, very fittingly giving rise to this year's theme being "Sustainable Climate Action".
This year around, Showtime aims to make the COP23 India Pavilion - inviting, immersive and technologically advanced. It will be constructed with a central installation of The Sun – source of all life force and the Tree of Sustainable Lifestructure inspired from the Honeycomb configuration among many more exciting installations. Hence, it is noticeable that it is a Hat-trick Win for the Showtime Group to Design & Handle the India Pavilion at The UN Climate Change Conference'17.
"I believe our consistent winning of this prestigious bid over the last 3 years in a row reflects Showtime's deep and unique understanding of the subject of Climate Change and its ability to convert that understanding into meaningful content through use of innovative and immersive technologies and installations" saidTarunMalhotra, Associate Event Director, Showtime Group who has been and continues to be the driving force at Showtime behind this prestigious project.
The UN Climate Change Conference 2017 will take place from 6 to 17 November in Bonn, Germany.
